Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko was a surprise inclusion in the starting line-up for the trip to Leicester City on Thursday night.

Despite Spurs having little to play for now they are guaranteed to finish in second position and with the final match of the Premier League season to follow on Sunday, Mauricio Pochettino still named the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli in his XI.

However, with Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker both absent from the squad because of injury, Sissoko was selected to play the right wing-back role.

Despite arriving for £30m from Newcastle United last summer, the France international has made just 23 top flight appearances with the majority of those coming from the substitutes’ bench, and he has failed to impress the fans.

Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the line-up via social media and they believe Pochettino has handed the Frenchman a final chance to impress, while others believe he has been put in the shop window.

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
