According to reports in The Sun on Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier is a £50m target for Bayern Munich.
The Sun on Sunday says that Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen on signing the 23-year-old before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month and the former Chelsea manager believes Spurs could be tempted to sell for around £50m despite already rebuffing interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United during pre-season.
The England international has become an important and versatile performer for Mauricio Pochettino’s men over the course of the last three seasons, and he featured in defensive midfield and at centre-back in 48 appearances in all competitions last term.
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and while some don’t believe it after they refused to sell to United earlier in the summer, others would be willing to get rid of him if Bayern paid £120m.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
If I was in D. Levy's place, I would tell Bayern to try next summer transfer window, after we have won the EPL tittle.

Don't want to sell at all but if they start with a £50 mill offer it can clearly be risen to about 80 if levy wants

Don't get me wrong, I like Dier, but what is this frenzy to buy him? I don't really get it. #thfc
