According to reports in Scandinavian publication Ekstra Bladet, via The Independent, Tottenham attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen has refused to rule out a move to Barcelona in the future.
The Denmark international was once again one of Spurs’ top performers as they challenged for the Premier League title for the second season running, scoring eight goals and providing a further 15 assists, but the north London outfit once again ended the campaign without winning a trophy.
If Mauricio Pochettino’s men continue to be the nearly men then there is no doubt that the likes of Eriksen, Harry Kane and Dele Alli could look to move on to pastures new in the future.
Speaking while on international duty with his country the 25-year-old said: “There are always rumours about footballers, but Barcelona are a great club and I don’t think there are many who say no to Barcelona.”
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the Dane’s quotes via social media, with many saying they wouldn’t blame him if he wanted to join Barcelona if the Spanish giants wanted to sign him, and they are keen to enjoy him while he is still playing for the club.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Barcelona players have to be able to take corners though Christian.

He's honest, I appreciate that. Glad to have him as long as we can.

We will never be able to hold players if Barca/Madrid come calling. Even City/Utd/Chelsea are unable to do so

No big surprise honestly. It'll be after Messi retires though so not sure the level Barca will be at. Enjoy him while he's here. Love Chris
