According to reports by Spanish media outlet Diario Gol, Real Madrid are ready to offer three of their stars in exchange for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, and Spurs fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.
Diario Gol reports that Real president Florentino Perez is willing to give the north London outfit Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Luka Modric in order to reduce Tottenham’s asking price of €200m (approximately £179m) for the prolific centre-forward.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding start to the season and despite failing to find the net in August, he scored 11 goals in just six appearances for his club in September, while he has also netted four in his last four outings for England.
Tottenham supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the rumour, and while some said that they “would take it”, others weren’t so keen on the proposed deal and said “chuck in Ronaldo and you’re still £200m short”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
If it was true I would take it tbh

plus this is a total lie. madrid would not get rid of modric, he's arguably their most important player

Not one thing about this has any thread of feasibility about it. Benzema Modric and Bale probably earn more than our whole first XI together

Who writes this tripe?! It’s not even remotely plausible, their salaries alone would break us!

Most ridiculous rumour of the year

That wouldn't even be a good deal, 2 players past their prime and one that can't play more than a game a month without injury
