According to The Sun, Spurs have now joined Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to sign 17-year-old wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.
Dubbed “the new Gareth Bale” by some media outlets, Sessegnon broke into the Fulham team at the start of the season, aged just 16, wowing Craven Cottage with some incredible skill and unbelievable maturity.
Tottenham believe that they have the edge over other clubs in the pursuit of Sessegnon for a number of reasons. Firstly, the young Englishman was born and raised in London and would like to remain close to family. The left-sided sensation has also just signed with agents and representatives of Harry Kane, who will likely look to influence Sessegnon to the North London club.
The left-back has scored an impressive seven goals in all competitions this season; his blistering pace and phenomenal skill allow him to venture down the flanks and cut inside with the maturity of a seasoned veteran.
Spurs fans took to Twitter to express their delight at the potential signing…
Ryan Sessegnon would be crazy to stay at Fulham or join any other team aside from Spurs. Poch would turn him into the best LB in the world.
