Tottenham Hotspur advanced to the fourth round of the EFL Cup as they beat Barnsley 1-0 at Wembley on Tuesday night, but Spurs fans are unsure on new boy Fernando Llorente after he made his full debut against the Tykes.
Spurs signed the striker from Swansea City on transfer deadline day and after brief appearances against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and his previous employers in the Premier League on Saturday, he was handed a start by Mauricio Pochettino.
The tall centre-forward would have hoped to get his first goal for the north London outfit against the Championship strugglers, and he should have opened his account in the opening 45 minutes when he headed wide when completely unmarked.
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the Spaniard’s performance via social media, and while some said they “don’t rate him”, others believe he could be “heading down the same road as Janssen”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Llorente heading down the same road as Janssen.
We just wont adapt to play to his strengths.

Good win from Spurs.. still very Lacklustre, Llorente looks unfit, Alli doesn't seem himself, Trippier crossing like walker, GK looked good

Llorente had to score with that chance! #COYS
