The Premier League title may still be heading towards West London, but Tottenham Hotspur are not giving up the fight.
Chelsea needed to slip up against Manchester City in order for Spurs to edge closer to the top spot, but Antonio Conte’s men sealed a 2-1 triumph at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Spurs had to beat Swansea City to keep themselves in the hunt, but they were staring at a defeat with two minutes of normal time left to play following Wayne Routledge’s 11th-minute opener.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side did not give up, though, and goals from Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen in a six-minute spell completed an impressive comeback.
Despite the victory, seven points still separate Tottenham from Chelsea, who have only lost four of their 30 league games this season.
The result at the Liberty Stadium may not change the direction of where the elite trophy is heading, but fans have been left hugely impressed by their team.
