Tottenham Hotspur fans remain on cloud nine after witnessing their team claim a much-needed win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

It looked as though Spurs would leave Selhurst Park with just one point as they entered the final 15 minutes of the game, but one long-range strike from Christian Eriksen broke the deadlock.

The Dane's 78th-minute goal was his 12th of the season and resulted in Mauricio Pochettino's team bringing the seven-point gap back down to four with five games left to play.

Spurs have a tougher run-in than Chelsea as they take on arch rivals Arsenal and Manchester United in their final chunk of figures, while the Blues play just one opponent in the top seven - Everton.

Antonio Conte's side are in the driving seat where the title race is concerned, and Spurs will hope that they do not capitulate like they did at this stage last season.

Tottenham failed to win any of their remaining four games of the 2015-16 campaign, drawing two and losing two, which handed the Premier League crown to Leicester City early.

Spurs fans are not getting ahead of themselves after beating Palace, but they were full of praise for their team after the match.
