Tottenham Hotspur fans were left scratching their heads when Kieran Trippier was not included in the man-of-the-match vote following Saturday's win over Watford.

The right-back has had to fight his way into Mauricio Pochettino's consideration due to Kyle Walker standing in his way.

The 26-year-old has made just seven Premier League appearances this season, but in his last two - against Burnley and Watford - he has impressed.

As well as putting in a solid display, Trippier provided the assist for one of Son Heung-min's goals in Saturday's 4-0 romp over the Hornets at White Hart Lane.

After the match, Spurs tweeted the results of a man-of-the-match vote, and Son took it with an overwhelming 72%.

Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier were also nominated for the title, but fans noticed Trippier's absence.

Most felt that the right-back was the best man on the pitch for Tottenham at the weekend, so for him not to even be included in the vote left supporters feeling confused.
