Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed utter joy on Twitter after the club confirmed that star man Harry Kane has returned to full training.
It was widely reported that manager Mauricio Pochettino had earmarked an end-of-April return for the striker, but it appears that he could be back in action earlier than planned.
Kane suffered ankle ligament damage while playing in the team’s 6-0 rout over Millwall on March 12.
There were fears that the prolific forward’s absence would cause a big blow to Spurs’ Champions League hopes, but they have coped well without him.
Since being on the sidelines, Pochettino’s men have claimed three consecutive victories in the Premier League, which has made them the closest challengers to leaders Chelsea.
Seven points separate themselves from the Blues with eight games left to play, but the players proved that they are up the fight when they came from a goal down against Swansea City to win 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium, scoring three goals in the last six minutes.
The club are also in contention for the FA Cup trophy this season as they prepare to face Chelsea in the semi-finals.
After the club confirmed on Twitter that Kane is back with his teammates training, fans could not hide their delight, with some hoping he faces Watford this weekend.
