Tottenham Hotspur fans were not best pleased with the club posting pictures of White Hart Lane's demolition.

The process of ripping apart the ground began after the team's 2-1 victory over Manchester United on may 14.

The Lane was Tottenham's home for 118 years, but they are now preparing to move into a new state-of-the-art stadium adjacent to the current base.

Spurs will be hoping that moving grounds will boost them into elite territory, especially after challenging for the Premier League title in the last two years.

Despite failing to push champions Chelsea until the final day, Mauricio Pochettino finished second - their highest position in the Premier League.

The club also topped the attack and defence charts, while Harry Kane took home the Golden Boot after scoring 29 goals in the top flight.

While Tottenham's fanbase are happy about the new stadium, it has been heart wrenching for some to see White Hart Lane stripped down.

Bird's-eye pictures posted by Spurs' Twitter official page showed the turf completely removed, while a bulldozer could be seen bringing down the West Stand.
