Tottenham Hotspur gave their supporters a Sunday to remember yesterday, destroying Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley Stadium in the English Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side appear to be reaching the standard they set for themselves last term and must be feeling confident about their top four ambitions after blowing Jurgen Klopp’s side out of the water.
Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min were all on the scoresheet across the ninety minutes, punishing defensive errors from the Reds and knocking in well worked goals that delighted fans.
Outside of the goalscorers, one man that impressed was Kieran Trippier. His contribution on the right flank was enormous and it was him who provided the assist for Kane to open the scoring just minutes into the game.
After selling Kyle Walker in the summer, there were question marks about his ability to reach similar levels for Spurs, but performances like Sunday’s will go a long way towards him convincing supporters he is more than capable.

Summer transfer of the decade looks to be Spurs getting rid of Walker for £50+ million. Trippier was superb…again #COYS
