Tottenham Hotspur fans have tried to read between the lines of the club’s latest tweet about Eric Dier.
The Daily Mail recently reported that Manchester United are keen to sign the England international, who they believe is open to an Old Trafford move.
It is believed that Tottenham have not put a price tag on the 23-year-old as they are keen to keep hold of him this summer.
Dier began his Spurs career as a defensive midfielder, but for large chunks of last season was used by manager Mauricio Pochettino at the back.
He received some criticism from fans for his performances in the defensive line, but his versatility allows the manager to have options.
This week, the North London outfit opted to tweet a quote from Dier, in which he said that he and his teammates are determined to keep improving.

Some fans have decided not to take the tweet for face value and believe that it is Tottenham showing that Dier is committed to the club.
Seems like he's really had his head turned by Man Utd.

Pay him what he's due. Pay them all – to want to stay because of football but leave due to money is madness
