Tottenham Hotspur fans praise Dembele for grappling with Ramos

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has built up quite a reputation for himself over the years.

The defender’s top-class ability has kept him first choice at the Bernabeu for the majority of his career since making the move from Sevilla in 2005.

However, the centre-back also has a dirty streak, which has seen him get issued with 23 red cards in a Madrid jersey.

On Wednesday night, the 31-year-old appeared to meet his match in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele, who showed that he would not be bullied on the pitch.

During the Champions League meeting at Wembley, which ended in a 3-1 win for Spurs, the two players clashed a handful of times.

There was one incident which involved Dembele smashing into Ramos while one-on-one with the Madrid defender.

Rightfully so, the Spurs man picked up a booking, but the club’s fans were more than happy that he took on the Spaniard.

After the match, Dembele took to Twitter to express his joy in Tottenham’s win, which sent them into the last 16 of the competition.

In response, the fans were full of praise.
