Tottenham Hotspur are known for being rather vague when it comes to the extent of their players’ injury problems.
The club rarely release a timeline of recovery, which can be frustrating for the fans.
Erik Lamela, for example, has spent over a year on the sidelines with hip problems, while Danny Rose recently returned to the squad following a nine-month absence due to a knee injury.
Victor Wanyama has been on the treatment table with a knee problem and has not featured on the pitch since August 20 when Tottenham suffered a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League.
On Tuesday, ahead of this week’s Champions League showdown against Real Madrid at Wembley, Spurs confirmed that Wanyama has started fieldwork training.

The club have still not confirmed when the midfielder, who signed of the North London outfit from Southampton last year, is likely to return.
The fans have since taken to Twitter to give their reactions to the injury update.
