Tottenham Hotspur fans were left wondering about Kyle Walker’s long-term future at the club after he was excluded from the first XI in Sunday’s North London derby.
A recent report by The Telegraph claimed that the England international will consider his options at the end of the season amid rumoured interest from Manchester City and Manchester United.
Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to start Walker on the bench in one of Tottenham’s biggest games of the season will do little to dispel rumours about a possible transfer.
Kieran Trippier was preferred at right-back, and even though Walker did eventually make an appearance in the 2-0 triumph, he only played two minutes after coming on as a late substitute.
The selection from Pochettino suggests that the Argentine wants to get Trippier involved more, which in turn raises questions over Walker’s future.
Some Spurs fans have been speculating about the situation on Twitter.

What's going on with walker then. Managerial tactics or wanting to leave? Why he would want to leave is beyond me. #coys

Walker has started 30 Premier League games this season, but of late he has been left out of big matches, including the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
