As reported by The Daily Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen is the subject of significant interest from Borussia Monchengladbach this summer.

The paper say that the Bundesliga outfit want the Dutch striker to lead the line next season as they look for a first-choice striker that can take them forward.

Janssen hasn't exactly been a massive hit for Spurs since moving from the Eredivisie last summer, scoring just two English Premier League goals.

Still, he has undoubted talent and at just 23 years of age has plenty of time to develop into a consistent top-flight player.

His problem at Tottenham is convincing Mauricio Pochettino that he deserves game time instead of, or alongside, Harry Kane. There's little scope for that happening next season and that's where the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach come in.

Despite his lack of goals, he remains a popular figure with some of the Tottenham support and some definitely don't want to say goodbye to him quite yet. Others though think it's time for the club to cut their losses.
