Tottenham Hotspur fans split over when Aurier should start

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has left the door open for Serge Aurier to make his debut against Everton on Saturday, but he also suggested that the match has come too early for the Ivorian.

Aurier sealed a move to the North London outfit from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day.

The 24-year-old only touched down in the UK on Thursday following the international break, which has not left him with much time to prepare for the match.

It is likely that Kieran Trippier will start in the right-back role, but he has struggled to impress the fans in the early stages of the season.

Kyle Walker-Peters is also available, but starting the inexperienced 20-year-old could be a risk.

Pochettino discussed team news during his pre-match press conference on Thursday, and after his update on Aurier, fans have been discussing on Twitter whether or not he should start.

Some supporters are keen to bring the full-back into the fold, while others would rather wait for next Wednesday’s Champions League group match against Borussia Dortmund.
