Tottenham Hotspur were flying high after comfortably defeating Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley just over a week ago.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men were unbeaten in seven Premier League matches heading into Saturday’s clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
However, during the build up they suffered a big blow when Harry Kane was struck down with a hamstring injury.
The prolific striker, who has scored 13 goals in all competitions so far this season, was left out of the squad and as a result, the team struggled in the final third.
In the end, United earned a 1-0 victory, with substitute Anthony Martial scoring the winner in the 81st minute.
Next up for the North London outfit is a crucial Champions League encounter with Real Madrid at Wembley.
Pochettino’s men earned a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu, keeping them on level terms with Zinedine Zidane’s side in the group.
Despite the disappointment of the result at Old Trafford, the fans are now switching their focus to Wednesday’s showdown.
Lets beat Madrid this wednesday.
