Tottenham Hotspur fans wanted Eriksen to win POTM over Son

Tottenham Hotspur won the double in terms of the Premier League’s monthly awards, with Mauricio Pochettino and Son Heung-min picking up the gongs.

However, there are a handful of fans who are not particularly satisfied with one of the award winners.

Some took to Twitter to claim that Christian Eriksen was more deserving, despite Son scoring five times in the month of April, including two against Watford.

Son is yet to fully cement a spot in Pochettino’s starting XI having started just 20 Premier League games and coming on as a substitute in a further 11.

He is generally effective when he gets on the pitch, though, scoring 12 goals and registering four assists in the top flight.

Son also impressed in the FA Cup as he scored six goals in five outings before their tournament was ended by Chelsea in the semi-finals.

Despite Son’s statistics in April, some fans wish that Eriksen had been named Premier League Player of the Month after he scored two goals and two assists.
