Tottenham Hotspur fans are concerned that Victor Wanyama could be out for months.

The powerful midfielder has not played since his team were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea on August 20.

The 26-year-old picked up a knee injury in training and has missed the club's last five games in all competitions.

It is safe to say that the most frustrating aspect for the fans is that Tottenham have not provided a timeline of recovery for Wanyama.

It has led to fears that the Kenyan international is set for a lengthy spell, much like Erik Lamela and Danny Rose, who have not played since October 2016 and January respectively.

This afternoon, the club tweeted that manager Mauricio Pochettino has no fresh injury concerns for this weekend's Premier League match against West Ham United, but reiterated that Lamela, Rose and Wanyama remain sidelined.

Wanyama became a crucial member of Pochettino's team in his first season at the club, making 36 Premier League appearances in total, scoring four goals and creating one assist.
