Tottenham Hotspur fans are concerned that Victor Wanyama could be out for months.
The powerful midfielder has not played since his team were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea on August 20.
The 26-year-old picked up a knee injury in training and has missed the club’s last five games in all competitions.
It is safe to say that the most frustrating aspect for the fans is that Tottenham have not provided a timeline of recovery for Wanyama.
It has led to fears that the Kenyan international is set for a lengthy spell, much like Erik Lamela and Danny Rose, who have not played since October 2016 and January respectively.
This afternoon, the club tweeted that manager Mauricio Pochettino has no fresh injury concerns for this weekend’s Premier League match against West Ham United, but reiterated that Lamela, Rose and Wanyama remain sidelined.
Wanyama still out 🙁

I’d say Wanyama still being out is a very fresh concern.

Not great news about Wanyama. Luckily defensive midfield is the 1 position where our understudy is pretty much as good as the 1st choice 👍🏼

Wanyama's seems like another one of those injuries we pick up and know nothing about, player is then out for months then needs an operation.

Wouldn't be surprised if Wanyama is out for a year at this point https://t.co/t744p0ZIBd

Seems poch decision to throw wanyama in at chelsea has well and truly back fired cost us the game and seems to have set his injury way back

Feel like the Wanyama injury is more serious than initially made out….doubt we'll see him for a while.

Bet we don’t see Wanyama till January.

Lack of info on Wanyama is ominous. So vital for us. I fear for our seasons goals with him out for a while

It's Wanyama we're missing

Wanyama became a crucial member of Pochettino’s team in his first season at the club, making 36 Premier League appearances in total, scoring four goals and creating one assist.
