United fans unimpressed with club’s tweet on out-of-form player

Timing in football is everything. That goes for players during a match, and also relates to the club’s off-the-field matters.

In hindsight, Manchester United’s social media team might feel that they did not pick a great time to be posting about a documentary surrounding Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan has contributed one goal and five assists in nine Premier League appearances this season, but it would be fair to say that the Armenian international’s form has gone a little cold in the last few weeks.

The 28-year-old certainly deserves some slack after his early-season form, but football supporters are not exactly the most forgiving when it comes to disappointing results.

United lost their first Premier League game of the season on Saturday afternoon – going down 2-1 to Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium.

On Monday afternoon, United pointed their supporters in the direction of an upcoming documentary surrounding Mkhitaryan, but the fans are currently more interested in his form on the field.
