Not long ago, questions were raised over Antonio Valencia’s longevity at Manchester United.
The Ecuadorian began his career as a winger, and he has held that role for much of his time at Old Trafford.
Under Jose Mourinho, though, Valencia has had somewhat of a revival by playing as a right-back.
At the age of 32, the player is a regular fixture in the team having started all seven Premier League games this season, and completing 90 minutes in each of them.
Valencia’s impressive form rewarded him with a goal in last month’s 4-0 win over Everton.
The Ecuadorian’s strike was so good that he has been handed September’s Premier League Goal of the Month award.

Valencia was up against Harry Kane’s second goal against Huddersfield Town for Tottenham Hotspur, as well as Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, who hit a 25-yard free kick against Leicester City.
It is no surprise that United fans were quick to heap praise on their right-back, who has been at the club for eight years.
Congrats! El Capitano…
