As reported by The Daily Mirror, West Ham United are closing in on the signature of Badou N'Diaye for a fee of £8.5m.

The signings haven't exactly being flowing into the London Stadium this summer with just Pablo Zabaleta signing up for service at the Hammers next season so far.

After a frustrating season, Slaven Bilic has a tough task on his hands to try and build a team that is capable of a strong top half finish in the English Premier League.

Fans have started to grow restless about the lack of activity in the transfer market with many wanting to sign a striker in particular.

It might be a surprise then that the club's first major signing this transfer window is a midfielder, and a mostly unknown one at that. N'Diaye plays in the Turkish Super Lig with Osmanlispor and before that played in Norway.

Signings are usually joyous affairs and while we're sure he'll be greeted warmly if he signs, it's fair to say that Hammers fans aren't exactly massively enthused about his potential arrival.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all...
