West Ham United are back at the London Stadium this weekend as they prepare to welcome Everton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Four points from their last two matches has allowed the Hammers to ease any lingering relegation concerns, but it would be fair to say that the natives are still restless after another frustrating campaign for Slaven Bilic’s side.
On Saturday morning, the club’s official Twitter account looked to rally the West Ham supporters with a post comparing the clash with Everton to a game of FIFA.
Indeed, Hammers forward Andre Ayew and Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye were the two players on screen as the gamers picked their respective kits for the clash in the English capital.
It was supposed to be a light-hearted post amid a difficult period for West Ham, but the tweet did not go down too well with the club’s supporters, who have watched their team lose 16 of their 33 Premier League fixtures during the 2016-17 campaign.
