West Ham United joint-chairman David Sullivan has landed himself in hot water with the club's supporters after his comments on new signing Joe Hart.

Hart completed a season-long loan to West Ham on Tuesday, with England's number one leaving parent club Manchester City once again after spending the 2016-17 campaign on loan in Serie A at Torino.

Sullivan, in comments published on West Ham's official website, claimed that Hart, who he brought on loan to Birmingham City back in 2009, was 'the best goalkeeper he has worked with'.

However, Sullivan's comments have been blasted by the West Ham fans, who feel that the 68-year-old has shown enormous disrespect to first-team stoppers Adrian and Darren Randolph, who shared the gloves last season, and are both popular with the club's fanbase.

Hart's arrival at the London Stadium has been welcomed by the West Ham supporters in what has been a frustrating window to date, but it would be fair to say that Sullivan's comments have left a sour taste.
