According to reports in The Mirror, former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel has rejected an approach from West Ham United to potentially replace the under-pressure Slaven Bilic, and Irons fans are disappointed.
The Croatian boss is coming under scrutiny after the east London outfit won just one of their opening six Premier League matches of the season – losing four – and they were beaten 3-2 at home by London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend having trailed 3-0 at one stage.
Previous defeats to Manchester United, Southampton and Newcastle United have left Bilic, whose contract runs out at the end of the current campaign, in huge trouble of losing his job ahead of his team’s clash against Swansea City at the London Stadium this weekend.
West Ham supporters were quick to have their say on the story via social media, and they were clearly disappointed with the German’s decision with some saying it’s a “big blow” and others ‘hoping it’s not true’.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
@ExWHUemployee claims in the media Tuchel has rejected an approach because he has no interest in us?! Hope it’s not true, he’s my #1

Thomas Tuchel has already rejected us apparently. That’s a big blow.
