According to the reliable @ExWHUEmployee on the latest edition of the West Ham Way podcast, West Ham United captain Mark Noble is "very disappointed" with some of criticism he has received from fans regarding his ability and performance, but Irons supporters are divided on their skipper.

The 30-year-old returned to the starting line-up in the 3-0 win against Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Cup third round at the London Stadium on Tuesday night, after he missed out on their previous two Premier League fixtures through injury.

After beginning the campaign with three straight top flight defeats a number of the players came under fire, and it appears as though Noble was one of those following some disappointing showings on the pitch.

West Ham supporters were quick to have their say on the news via social media, and they were largely divided with their opinions.

While some say "he deserves respect" following a successful career with the Irons, others say he is "not good enough" now.
