West Ham United booked their spot in the fourth round of the EFL Cup after recording a 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers at the London Stadium on Tuesday night.

Following a difficult start to the 2017-18 campaign, West Ham have now won three of their last five matches in all competitions - keeping clean sheets in three of those fixtures.

In truth, it was a comfortable night against Championship outfit Bolton, but the job still needed to be done in order to secure a position in the next round of the competition.

It was centre-back Angelo Ogbonna that opened the scoring with a thumping header in the fourth minute, before Diafra Sakho and Arthur Masuaku registered for the home team.

After the match, Ogbonna took to Twitter to reveal his delight after finding the back of the net in the 3-0 win, and the West Ham supporters were on hand to hail the former Juventus defender.

The 29-year-old, who is valued at £9m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has now made more than 60 appearances for the Hammers following a move to London in the summer of 2015, and he is certainly one of West Ham's most popular players with the club's fanbase.
