West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic confirmed in his pre-match press conference for the visit to Stoke City on Saturday that striker Andy Carroll will once again miss out through injury.

The attacker was absent for the draw against Everton at the London Stadium last weekend because of a reoccurrence of a groin problem he had earlier in the campaign, and he will miss the trip to the Britannia Stadium too in which

Bilic’s side can break the magic 40-point barrier with a win.

Carroll’s time with the Irons has been blighted by injury problems and he has made just 17 Premier League appearances for the club this season.

Hammers supporters were quick to give their reaction to the latest injury update via social media, and many have finally lost patience with the 28-year-old and believe that the club should get rid of him this summer.

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
