West Ham United kept their first clean sheet since January as they picked up a huge victory at home to Swansea City on Saturday.

In a close fought encounter at the London Stadium, a Cheikhou Kouyate goal was enough to win three points that are a huge boost to the Hammers' ambitions of avoiding a relegation dogfight in the closing stages of the season.

They are now eight points ahead of Swansea and the relegation positions with just six games remaining. Barring complete collapse, their Premier League status next season looks secure.

Perhaps most pleasing for Irons fan was the battling spirit and determined performance from Slaven Bilic's men, all of whom looked ready to scrap and fight for each other.

It wasn't a particularly silky showing, but every win counts and at this stage of the season grinding out results is the most important thing.

Their solid defensive efforts were typified by James Collins, whose display has been met with overwhelming praise from Hammers supporters.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his display...
