According to Twitter user @WestHam_OLAS, Javier Hernandez is rumoured to have been dropped from the side that will host Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium on Saturday, and Irons fans are not happy.

The account has suggested that Andy Carroll, Michail Antonio and Marko Arnautovic will start in a front three against Spurs, with Hernandez seemingly left on the substitutes' bench despite scoring two of their four top flight goals this term.

With Slaven Bilic's side picking up four points from their last two Premier League matches after losing their opening three, and with Hernandez being forced to either a wide or deeper position following the return of Carroll from injury, it perhaps wouldn't be too much of a surprise if the selection proved to be right.

With Arnautovic and Antonio natural wide players and the former putting in an outstanding performance in the EFL Cup win against Bolton in midweek, he is pushing for a first team recall.

West Ham supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and while some said the decision would be "baffling", others said that if the story is true then "Bilic has lost the plot".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
