According to reports in The Mirror, West Ham United target David Stockdale looks set to snub interest from the Irons to sign a new two-year deal at Premier League new-boys Brighton and Hove Albion.
Despite playing an influential part in their impressive Championship campaign, the 31-year-old’s contract with the south coast outfit is due to run out this summer and he is yet to sign a new one.
That news alerted the likes of the Hammers and Leeds United, but now it is understood that he will put pen to paper with the newly-promoted Seagulls.
West Ham supporters were quick to have their say on the transfer update via social media, with many pleased that they wouldn’t be bringing Stockdale to the club to challenge Darren Randolph and Adrian for the number one spot as they don’t believe he is good enough.

@Hammers_Update 1. They just got promoted so why would he leave?
2. He conceded 2 own goals to Norwich so don't want him after that performance ????????
