According to reports in The Mirror, Everton are said to be keen on signing West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang this summer.

Despite an impressive campaign for the Irons and the fact that the Spaniard still has two years left on his contract at the London Stadium, the story suggests that a bid of more than £15m could be enough to prise the 25-year-old away this summer.

Having struggled to break into the first team on a regular basis in his first season in England, the midfielder became more of a key man for Slaven Bilic’s men this season by making 30 appearances in all competitions, before missing the final two months of the campaign with an ankle injury.

West Ham supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, with many laughing at the reports that he would cost just £15m, while others said they would be tempted if they were offered a total deal worth £40m.
