West Ham United have confirmed the departure of Enner Valencia to South American side Tigres for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old did not exactly keep the move quiet as he retweeted numerous good-luck messages earlier this week before the announcement was made.

Valencia was always expected to leave the Hammers after he was shipped out on loan to Everton last season.

The forward scored three goals and provided one assist in 21 Premier League appearances for the Toffees, but he was in the starting spot for just five of those outings.

During his three-year spell at West Ham, Valencia found the back of the net 10 times in 66 appearances.

He arrived from Pachuca in 2014 with plenty of promise, but injuries hampered his progression at the East London club.

Slaven Bilic's team will not be hugely affected by Valencia's departure, but it does give the squad one less attacking player heading into the 2017-18 campaign.

Most fans have no issue with the Ecuadorian leaving, while others are sad to see him go.
