A handful of West Ham United supporters do not share their manager's sentiment when it comes to Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

The Hammers have been linked to the England international before, and now manager Slaven Bilic has indicated that he may move for the 27-year-old when the transfer window reopens this summer.

The Daily Mail quotes the Croatian as saying:

"When he is on fire, he is a great player. We are going to see. We have our list of strikers. If you go back two or three seasons he was unbelievable."

The East London outfit are in need of some firepower given that they have managed just four goals in their last five Premier League outings.

The club's top scorer is currently Michail Antonio with nine to his name, but the versatile player will be unable to add to it as he is expected to miss the final four games of the season with injury.

Sturridge has struggled with injury problems of his own, suffering numerous setbacks at Liverpool over the course of the campaign.

The striker has been restricted to just five league starts, and when he has been fit, Divock Origi has been preferred by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Bilic may be praising Sturridge's qualities, but the fans are less than convinced, mainly because of the forward's injury record.

The club already have an attacking player who has difficulty maintaining fitness - Andy Carroll.
