West Ham United look as though they are on the verge of losing young striker Ashley Fletcher just one year after signing him.

The 21-year-old joined the Hammers from Manchester United and went on to make 20 appearances in all competitions, but only two of those were Premier League starts.

Despite the club's injury problems in the attacking department, Fletcher failed to get more game time and it seems that he could be ready to move on.

According to football.london, the striker has left West Ham's pre-season training camp in Germany to fly back to the UK to hold talks over a £7m move to Middlesbrough.

It is believed that West Ham manager Slaven Bilic gave the green light for Fletcher to discuss a move away from the club.

Fans have been tweeting their views on the forward's possible exit, and there has been a mixed response.

Some are happy for the club to take the fee, while others wish that Fletcher had been given more of a chance at the London Stadium.
