West Ham United fans were on a high after the summer acquisitions of Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez, but they came to ground with a thud after Sunday's result.

The Hammers had a difficult start to the Premier League season having to take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Not many would have tipped the Hammers to get a result, but they ended up suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat.

Romelu Lukaku, who was making his United debut, scored twice, while Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba also got on the scoresheet.

The Hammers handed first starts to their summer signings, but the overall performance of the team was lacklustre.

After the final whistle, manager Slaven Bilic gave his verdict on the match, and as expected, he was not best pleased.

The Croatian told the club's official website that United were the better team in "every aspect of the game" and that it was "very hard to find positives".

After reading Bilic's post-match thoughts, the fans expressed their frustration on Twitter, with some taking aim at the manager and others feeling deja vu.
