Another day, another update on Andy Carroll's injury woes.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed this morning that the striker will not be in the squad to face his former club Liverpool on Sunday.

A groin problem will keep him on the sidelines, but his Croatian boss has attempted to play down the severity of the issue.

Injuries have dogged Carroll's career over the past few years, and in this season in particular he has had a very stop-start campaign.

The former Newcastle United forward has been restricted to just 15 Premier League starts and a further three appearances off the bench.

His latest bout of injury has kept him on the treatment table for almost a month, and with games against Liverpool and Burnley the only two remaining in West Ham's calendar, there is a big chance that Carroll will not play again this season.

The majority of fans are not surprised that the striker is unavailable this weekend, and some are losing patience with the crocked star.
