This summer, Premier League clubs have been trying to outdo one another with their creative ways of announcing new signings.

West Ham United got in on the action when they produced a video confirming the arrival of Joe Hart.

The Manchester City goalkeeper finalised his season-long loan on Tuesday, with Sky Sports reporting that the Hammers will have an option to buy at the end of the campaign.

After making the transfer official, West Ham posted a video to their official Twitter page.

In it, the club welcomed Hart to the "family" and gained the help of a handful of supporters.

This new wave of creativity has attracted plenty of criticism, with most football fans covering their eyes in embarrassment.

On this occasion, the reactions were split down the middle, with handfuls of West Ham supporters approving the clip, while others were left bemused.

Hart is the club's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Pablo Zabaleta from City on a free transfer.
