Youngster hailed as future captain by Tottenham supporters

Harry Winks played the full 90 minutes of Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 win over APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Spurs were without a number of their usual XI through injuries and suspensions, which opened up a position in the team for 21-year-old midfielder Winks.

The young Englishman made 33 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham last season, and has been regularly involved in the early stages of the 2017-18 campaign.

There is no question that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino sees Winks as a key part of his plans moving forward, and the club’s supporters are also extremely fond of the midfielder.

Indeed, following the clash with APOEL in Cyprus, Winks spoke confidently and calmly about what had occurred during Tottenham’s Champions League win.

The video, which was published on Tottenham’s official Twitter page, brought a host of positive reaction from the club’s fans, with some claiming that the England Under-21 international has the credentials needed to one day captain the first team.
