Dusan Tadic has suggested that the tide could be turning for Southampton.

The coastal club have had a miserable run in the Premier League having picked up just five wins in 27 fixtures.

If the season ended today, Mauricio Pellegrino's side would be relegated to the Championship as they currently sit one point from safety.

The Saints ended a 12-game winless run in the top flight with a 3-2 victory over bottom-placed West Bromwich Albion a few weeks ago.

The team were unable to spark a positive run, though, as they were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in the following fixture.

Even though their league form has been disappointing, the club's run in the FA Cup has been anything but.

On Saturday, Pellegrino's men managed to beat the Baggies once again, this time with a 2-1 scoreline.

Tadic scored the second goal in the 56th minute, following up from Wesley Hoedt's opener.

Salomon Rondon got on the scoresheet for West Brom at The Hawthorns, but it turned out to be a consolation goal.

After the match, via the club's official website, Tadic suggested that the team have turned a corner.

“We will have these kind of teams in the rest of the season. Next game we have Burnley who also physical and we need to compete against them. It’s a lot about confidence and I think we are going in the right direction. We will give our best with our fans to go on from this period and win against Burnley.”
