Southampton travel to League Two Newport County in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, with Ralph Hasenhuttl's side hoping to avoid an upset against the Exiles.

Newport have taken a number of scalps at Rodney Parade in recent seasons, with Leeds United, Leicester City and Watford all coming unstuck there in the past.

Considering Southampton have never won the League Cup and are also yet to win a game this season, there is added importance to this game for the Saints and Hasenhuttl will surely be desperate to win.

With that in mind, it seems likely that whilst he will rotate some players, he will ensure that there is some much-needed quality and experience on the pitch on Wednesday night.

Here's how Football FanCast expects the Austrian manager to line his side up, with eight changes from the team that started the 1-1 draw against Manchester United last time out...

It seems likely that Fraser Forster will start in goal for the Saints after Alex McCarthy was picked ahead of him in the first two games of the season.

There are two changes in defence, as Jan Bednarek replaces Jack Stephens, whilst Kyle Walker-Peters makes his first start of the season at right-back, with Valentino Livramento rested.

The ever consistent James Ward-Prowse is the only player to keep his place in midfield, with Mohammed Elyounoussi replacing Moussa Djenepo on the left wing, whilst Ibrahima Diallo comes in for Oriol Romeu in the middle.

Meanwhile, after two poor performances Theo Walcott, who reportedly earns £75k per week at Southampton, is axed from the starting eleven, with Nathan Redmond replacing him.

Finally, it's all change in attack as Armando Broja makes his Southampton debut up front and he is partnered by Nathan Tella, who makes his first start of the season.

And, in other news... Hasenhuttl can overwhelm Newport by unleashing Southampton's "biggest talent" tonight
