The second season of Netflix documentary Sunderland 'Til I Die is due to drop on the 1st of April but the streaming platform has already given fans an inkling of what's to come by releasing the trailer.

Like season one it seems to be full of suspense and drama, but that was to be expected given the club twice lost at Wembley, missed out on promotion, and had an eventful transfer window in January 2019.

The signing of Will Grigg may be of particular interest after the club initially had five bids rejected by Wigan, before parting with £4m for a striker who has so far proved to be a disaster, with eight goals in 49 games for the Black Cats.

Despite those woes, many supporters are excited by the news they will get a chance to relive the 2018/19 season soon. At least this time around there will be a great deal more wins to look back on than the first instalment.

As usual for Sunderland it was a season that provided many lessons to learn from, though Stewart Donald has arguably failed to do that as he ended up sacking manager Jack Ross in October.

The north-east outfit also currently sit outside the play-off places and Donald has faced calls to sell the club, so 2019/20 has had its fair share of drama too - it simply wouldn't be Sunderland without it.
