Jose Mourinho has suggested that Danny Rose will not play for Tottenham Hotspur again, as reported by Football Insider.

The England international has a contract that runs until the summer of 2021, but it seems as though the manager is looking to get him out of the door before then.

He joined the club back in 2007, but fans are delighted about the prospect of seeing him leave, with one fan saying "good riddance" and another claiming that "he's done".

The 29-year-old had only started 10 Premier League games for Spurs, making a further two substitute appearances, before being loaned out to Newcastle United.

Since moving to St James' Park, Rose has averaged 1.4 tackles, 0.8 clearances and 1.2 interceptions, but this has seemingly not been enough to impress either Mourinho or the fans.

Mourinho has been praised for the ruthlessness shown in his stance on Rose, with one fan claiming that "Poch would never have done that".

He has not had the best of times recently, having been knocked out of the Champions League and FA Cup in a run of six games without a win.

Meanwhile, Spurs fans have mercilessly slating a former player.
