Dean Windass has exclusively told Football FanCast that Aaron Ramsdale would "jump at the chance" to make an instant return to the Premier League and sign for Tottenham.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper, who replaced Dean Henderson in the England squad for the Euros earlier this month, has been relegated in each of his two seasons at top-flight level with Bournemouth and Sheffield United.

But the Blades shot-stopper has already been linked back to the Premier League, with Spurs amongst a host of sides keen on signing the Three Lions keeper.

Ramsdale, who was described as "incredible" by Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool's win at Bramall Lane in March, was an ever-present for Sheffield United last season but conceded a whopping 63 goals and despite some memorable saves, was unable to prevent the Yorkshire outfit from ending their brief stay.

Should Ramsdale join this summer, he'd be Spurs' second-choice goalkeeper behind Hugo Lloris, but the Frenchman has just 12 months remaining on his deal in north London, which could leave the 23-year-old in with a chance of becoming his successor.

And that's exactly what Windass told Football FanCast:

"Lloris is coming to an end, depending on how he does for his country.

"Everyone wants to play in the Premier League and if somebody comes calling, you can't turn it down.

"He's done very well for Sheffield United, and I think he would jump at the chance."
