Tottenham Hotspur devastatingly crashed out of the FA Cup on Wednesday evening putting any hope of silverware this season in grave danger.

Jose Mourinho's side were beaten on penalties by Premier League basement boys Norwich City leaving their chances of clinching glory on overcoming an away goal in Germany against RB Leipzig and overturning a five-point deficit to the top four before the end of the season.

The mood in north London was understandably down in the dumps with fans unleashing their anger through criticism of several of their players.

Serge Aurier has been no exception after dropping another poor performance as Spurs' only senior right-back option.

Here's what fans have been saying...

One supporter claimed that Aurier was Tottenham's version of former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson while he was also blasted for not having a brain.

Another member of the Spurs faithful suggested that the 27-year-old would be out of his depth in a glass of water, so he's certainly not good enough to play in the FA Cup  - one even wanted the club to sell him.

Per SofaScore, Aurier lost possession 25 times, was dribbled past twice and won just 42.1% of his duels.

He also attempted eight crosses but none of them came off successfully, which has fans discussing his defensive attributes..

One fan joked that Yodel had better delivery than Aurier while another said he needed to do better.

His tackling was also slammed, claiming that he couldn't tackle a chicken dinner.

While the overriding consensus was that the Ivory Coast international was a "liability".
