Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of yet another competition as they were resoundingly beaten across two-legs in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Jose Mourinho's side were walloped 3-0 by RB Leipzig, meaning the Bundesliga outfit secured a 4-0 aggregate victory and condemned the north Londoners to their Premier League plight.

Overall, it was quite a defensive diasterclass from Spurs with supporters unleashing on Serge Aurier for his performance at right-back.

They now only have the top four to play for but that seems a world away now as they are some seven points behind Chelsea, so maybe Tottenham's time on the elite stage is done for the foreseeable future.

Here's how fans have been reacting...

The 27-year-old was blasted for being a "liability" as well as an "absolute donkey" while a couple of supporters noted his lazy attitude, which only provided ammunition to launch scathing criticism at his display.

SofaScore handed Aurier a 6.4 rating after he lost possession 18 times, failed to provide an accurate cross from four attempts and only managed to produce on tackle all match.

What could've been... Can you name the clubs these football legends almost joined?

Therefore, these fans may well be onto something - one even labelled him a "clown" so that only goes to show how poorly thought of he is right now.

Plenty of others would like to see the Ivory Coast international out the door this summer following cries for the club to "get rid" of him.

"Shocking" and "useless" were two further comments made about Aurier's performance while some members of the Spurs faithful talked him up to be one of the worst players to ever grace the pitch.

He was compared to Hossam Ghaly, who had a dire spell in north London between 2006 and 2009 - that's how bad it's gotten.
