According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are confident of agreeing a new contract with versatile defender Japhet Tanganga.
As it stands, the Englishman will be out of contract at the end of June, but according to Football Insider, Spurs are confident of agreeing a deal.
The report claims that the defender had actually turned down the club’s initial offer but talks have since been ‘advanced’.
Some of the Tottenham fans have reacted positively to the update.
About time, he deserves it.

Others, though, are less convinced when it comes to the defender.
Indeed, one individual showed little enthusiasm reacting to the news, claiming that Tanganga is “alright” but won’t solve the club’s problems.
Hes alright….not gonna solve our defensive issues though

Another supporter referred to Tanganga as a “good squad player”.
The England Under-20 international has developed into a key player for Mourinho in recent weeks, although it remains to be seen what type of defensive business the London club attempt to complete in this summer’s transfer window.
Good squad player
