Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting in their droves this week after a potential transfer bombshell was dropped on north London.

According to Mundo Deportivo, La Liga giants Barcelona are rather keen on Tanguy Ndombele as they look to bolster their squad with a box-to-box midfielder who could replace either Ivan Rakitic or Arturo Vidal should they leave the Nou Camp this summer.

The report claims that the Catalan outfit were interested in the 23-year-old before he opted for Spurs and they view him as the perfect profile for what the manager is looking for.

Ndombele has been a divisive figure at Tottenham this season as he's struggled to make an impact following a club-record £55m move.

Many have slammed his fitness as the major worry at times this campaign.

And here's how they have been reacting to this latest news...

There were many behind the idea of selling the Frenchman if a bid from Barca did indeed come in this summer with some claiming that he's made of glass and has been a total disappointment.

Per Transfermarkt, Ndombele has averaged only 51 minutes per match this season having made a total of 27 appearances in all competitions. He has scored two goals and provided four assists, too.

Plenty of others would like to see him given an opportunity next season as some believe the former Lyon midfielder is a player with massive potential.

"Future world beater" and "best young talent in world football" were two reviews while one fan suggested it would be a big mistake to let him leave anytime soon.

While the following members of the Spurs faithful named potential replacements, swap deals and other players they could sign for any fee they gain from his sale.

One wanted to see Gedson Fernandes' loan move made permanent while Jack Grealish and Frenkie de Jong were frequent names mentioned.

Ndombele was even likened to former Spurs midfielder Paulinho, who left north London for Guangzhou in 2017 before joining Barcelona and then returning to China.

Who is that?! Nobody has been able to name the teams all of these obscure managers were once in charge of...
